The last three are tools and it is recommended that candidates master how these tools work before entering the exam. Your course will have prepared you with the knowledge; you don’t want the tools in an exam stopping you from showing that knowledge.

In order to cover the examination(s) syllabus Cisco has a recommended training outline showing the topics that need to be covered in preparation for the exam.
The first sets of modules that are covered in most CCNA online training courses cover the basics of network administration. This includes the operation of a data network and switched networks, IP address and services, wireless LAN administration and the management of security issues. The second module builds on this and covers more advanced functions of a network.
